The Challenge

An international office product manufacturer had constant requests of their Information Technology Department to create new online forms for their various websites.   Each new form would collect various visitor information and be used for such things as product registration, warranty participation, etc.   Each new form had its own layout, colors, fields to collect and back-end process.   Needless to say, creating each form and back-end process by hand and from scratch each time was very time-consuming, costly and did nothing take advantage of the corporate assets they already had at their disposal.   The I.T. Deparment was back-logged and could not keep up with the requests, which only served to slow their time-to-market.

Our Solution

We were able to provide a solution that enabled them to stop re-inventing the wheel on a daily basis, define each new virtual form in just a matter of minutes, and have it generated dynamically on the fly.   Each new form would be described easily by completing an online form (I know, irony) - what information to collect, how to validate the information submitted, which layout and colors to use, who gets emailed when there's a new submission or problem, where the data collected would reside, what the workflow was once the data was collected, etc.

The Win

They were able to eliminate requests to their I.T. Department altogether because each product team could now create their own forms.   I.T. was happy because they could get back to their other projects, and each new form was not only created in minutes, but now standardized across the company in terms of look-and-feel (even though each product team could put their "touches" on it), and valid information was coming through due to the client-side validation generated. Their time-to-market was reduced significantly, and they were able to enjoy cost savings immediately.

The Challenge

A premiere midwest law firm with over 100 lawyers had their custom docketing application designed and written for them by a company that one day decided to leave town in the middle of the night and not be heard from again.  In addition, this company was "one of those" companies that writes applications with their own interests in mind.  They either make sure they can bill you forever by writing crap, or they don't care because they won't be around in six months - so they write crap.  The application was broken, enhancement requests were piling up and attorneys could not effectively do their jobs.  They were expanding and wanted to use it in multiple locations, something it was not designed for originally.

To The Rescue

We were able to swoop in with minimal knowledge of the application and start fixing and enhancing it immediately.   We suggested improvements and automation that further turned it from a poorly-crafted application into a world-class piece of software that could grow with them.

The Win

Lawyers got to where they needed to be on time.  We still haven't left town in the middle of the night.   We handle most of their I.T. needs now.  And have a legal team at our beck and call (just sayin')!
